We are delighted to share our short courses and events programme for the 2026-27 academic year. Whether attending live classes in Oxford or learning online, this expansive range of learning opportunities allows students to experience Oxford’s world-renowned teaching from wherever they are in the world.

With labour markets across the globe rapidly changing in response to artificial intelligence and economic challenges, lifelong learning is not only valued for its benefits to career development and personal wellbeing, but is increasingly recognised for its potential to contribute to wider societal benefits, such as good working conditions, innovation and active citizenship.

Students from social sciences, humanities, and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) backgrounds will find something to satisfy their curiosity, whether they are looking to deepen their knowledge in a familiar subject or explore an entirely new area of study.

Dr Ben Grant, Director of the in-person Weekly Classes programme, says: ‘There’s so much to discover in our new Weekly Classes programme. We offer five- and ten-week courses across a wide variety of subject areas, all taught in person in Oxford. Many courses include visits to sites such as the Ashmolean Museum and the University of Oxford Botanic Garden, and students can also make use of Oxford Lifelong Learning’s fantastic library. Please do explore the programme on our website, and I very much hope you can join us in the next academic year.’
