Specialist and advanced summer schools

In-depth, intensive summer schools with Oxford University

Courses for personal, academic or professional advancement.

Spend one or more weeks studying your subject in small interactive seminar groups, led by specialist tutors. Attend lectures by leading scholars and distinguished speakers. Get to know the world’s most famous university city, its galleries and gardens. If this sounds appealing, then our specialist subject and advanced level summer programmes are for you.

Programmes are subject-specific, allowing for in-depth learning. You’ll be joined by a range of students from around the world: senior undergraduate students, graduates, teachers in schools and colleges, interested generalists looking to progress their learning, and working professionals.

Oxford’s historic colleges

These face-to-face summer schools are based at some of Oxford’s oldest and most beautiful colleges including Christ Church, Brasenose College and Exeter College. You’ll experience life as an Oxford student: dining in hall, and drawing inspiration from college gardens and grounds. Details of accommodation can be found on each individual course page.

The programmes are residential; however, some do offer non-residential options so you can find your own accommodation if you wish.
