Oxford Lifelong Learning, at the Department for Continuing Education, brings the quality of an Oxford University education within reach of everyone. We inspire people across the world to fulfil their potential – whether by studying for a qualification to change direction, enhancing their career with new skills, or learning simply to satisfy intellectual curiosity.

Our extensive range of courses, provided in Oxford and online to over 15,000 students each year, are led by tutors selected for their expertise and dedication to the exceptional teaching expected from a world-class university.

Welcome to our part-time courses at Oxford Lifelong Learning, University of Oxford. We have one of the world’s oldest and largest communities of part-time learners worldwide. Whether for personal interest, academic progression or professional development, we will help you to develop your knowledge and skills, innovate and gain new perspectives. You will be joining a diverse, vibrant community of learners who are passionate about education and its potential to change the world for the better.

Embedded in an 800-year-old world-class university, we have provided part-time university qualifications, courses, and events for nearly 150 years, developed from the University of Oxford’s rich and unique resources.

Engaging actively with a subject that matters to you, whether you aim to gain credit, achieve a qualification or broaden your knowledge, is one of the most enriching and affirming things you can do.
