Religion and theology

Short courses

The study of religion and theology is an ancient discipline with continuing and momentous social significance around the world today. Through our range of courses, students gain an understanding of the intellectual underpinning of religious traditions, and of the social and cultural contexts for religious belief and practice.

Many of our short courses, including short online courses (live and flexible), weekly classes in Oxford, and some summer schools, can be studied for credit, which means they can count towards a recognised qualification such as our Undergraduate Certificate of Higher Education.

Theological Studies – Undergraduate Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s

These undergraduate courses aim to enhance connections between theological study, professional practice and practice-based learning. Together they constitute a coherent programme of studies. All three may be studied either full-time or part-time.
