Student health, welfare and wellbeing

Looking after your health and wellbeing is an important part of your study experience. Oxford Lifelong Learning provides information and guidance to help you access medical services, wellbeing support, and resources during your time in Oxford. This page outlines the support available, helping you stay healthy, manage your wellbeing, and make the most of your studies.

University support and arrangements

Information about University support, advice and services can be found on the Welfare and Wellbeing web pages, which are primarily for students on award-bearing courses (undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications).

Disabilities support

If you have an impairment or condition which may affect your studies, please refer to our web page Students with Disabilities, and contact our Student Support Administrator if you have any questions.

Medical emergencies and non-urgent issues

NHS 111 urgent health advice service

If you are unsure whether you should visit the Emergency Department (A&E), or if you are experiencing an illness or injury in the evening or at the weekend, call NHS 111 for 24/7 urgent health advice.

If you are taken ill while attending classes in Oxford, the nearest doctor can be contacted at the Jericho Health Centre, Walton Street, Oxford OX2 6NW. Telephone +44 (0)1865 311234. Please ask Reception or a member of staff for assistance if you need it. Matriculated students (while studying in Oxford) should contact their college doctor or nurse.
