Your study at Oxford Lifelong Learning may result in gaining an official academic record that documents your achievements and progress. Whether you are enrolled on an award-bearing programme, a short course, or a professional development module, we provide clear routes for obtaining certificates, transcripts, and other credentials. These records can support further study, career applications, or professional accreditation, and may be available in both physical and digital formats. Depending on your course type, you may receive formal degree certificates, digital certificates of completion, transcripts detailing your results, or records of earned credit such as CATS points. This page explains the different types of academic records available, how they are issued, and the steps you can take to request, replace, or share them, ensuring you can confidently access and use your academic achievements whenever you need them.

- To request a replacement certificate (if it has been lost, stolen or damaged), refer to Degree certificates and letters.
Non-matriculated courses

Live and flexible online courses
For accredited live and flexible online courses, students are eligible to receive a digital certificate of completion upon passing the final assignment. Certificates of completion will show your name, the course title and the dates of the course you attended. You will be able to download your certificate or share it on social media if you choose to do so.
Accredited weekly classes
Students who have registered for assessment and accreditation are eligible for a digital certificate of completion if they pass the final assignment. Certificates of completion will show your name, the course title and the dates of the course you attended. You will be able to download your certificate or share it on social media if you choose to do so.
Non-accredited courses
Students may (depending on the course) be eligible for either a certificate or digital badge of attendance. Normally provided when the course ends, the certificate will include the student’s name, the course title and dates. The digital badge, which can be shared on social media and in emails, will include the student’s name, the course name and a link to an online page with more information about the course.
Upon successfully completing the stated requirements to receive a University of Oxford digital certificate of completion or a digital badge, you will receive a download link and information on how to share and download your credential after the end of your course.

Or
- You will apply for your transcript through Academic Transcripts.
