Our accredited short online courses are offered in the following formats:

• Online (Flexible) courses: these have no live-time meetings so you can study when it suits you.

• Online (Live) courses: join a weekly live webinar led by an expert tutor. 

Short online courses (Flexible)

On Flexible courses, learning activities are structured around the course materials provided, which usually ask you to contribute to the online text-based discussion forums, where you will get to know your tutor and fellow students, or else might include individual activities such as quizzes, problem sets or writing exercises.

Short online courses (Live)

Live courses combine online course materials you can explore in your own time with a weekly live video webinar led by an expert tutor. You will therefore expect to commit to a 1-hour meeting at the same time every week.

Credit and the Certificate of Higher Education 

Please refer to our CATS Points System guidelines to find out more about CATS points and how to register for credit. Credit earned from our short online courses is transferable towards our award programme, the Certificate of Higher Education.
