Strengthen your research practice with our expert-led training sessions and accredited short courses for postgraduate students and researchers. Some courses offer discounted rates for students.

Research skills training sessions

These hybrid sessions are primarily aimed at doctoral students but all postgraduate researchers external to the University are welcome to attend.

Each session is independent of each other and can be applied for separately, although a fee reduction of 20% is available for anyone applying for all six sessions.

All sessions can be attended either in Oxford or online.

Applications for each session will close one week before the session starts.

Preparing Your Doctoral Research Proposal

For postgraduates who are not currently studying at Oxford University, this free training session will provide practical support and experiential advice to help you develop your doctoral research proposal. You don’t need to be considering applying to Oxford University to join.
