Whether you're starting a new language from scratch, refreshing existing skills, or keen to understand how culture shapes communication, our short courses in Oxford and online offer an accessible way to develop skills and gain new perspectives.
All of our modern and classical language courses are taught in small groups to maximise interaction and enhance fluency in a friendly, supportive environment. Courses are open access, so you can join in any of the three terms throughout the year. Just pick the term that works for you and the course that suits your proficiency level.
Flexible Online Course
Our Inter-Culturally Speaking online course is offered in a flexible, asynchronous learning format. There are no live-time meetings, so you can participate at the time that suits you. No prior knowledge is required.

In-Person Courses in Modern Languages
The following languages are offered as in-person classes in Oxford. All courses run over 10 weeks.
For the first time in spring 2026, we will also be running conversation courses in these languages, with the exception of Chinese (Mandarin) and Korean.
