Postgraduate Award Courses

Advance your career, deepen your expertise, or pursue a lifelong passion.

We offer a range of part-time postgraduate study options across a range of subject areas. Certificates, diplomas, masters' degrees and DPhil (PhD) programmes are a great way to further your study, progress in your career or learn for personal enrichment.

Most of our postgraduate courses are taught part-time and structured to provide flexibility without compromising academic rigour. Many programmes are delivered primarily online, while others combine online study with short, immersive residencies in Oxford — giving you the opportunity to engage with tutors and peers in person and experience Oxford’s unique academic environment.

Postgraduate Diplomas are taught at the same level as master’s degrees, but they are shorter in length. Some students progress on to a postgraduate diploma after completing a postgraduate certificate. Browse the courses taught at this level:

We offer a number of part-time DPhil programmes. ‘DPhil’ stands for ‘Doctor of Philosophy’, sometimes referred to as a ‘doctorate’ or ‘PhD’ and is the highest level of a degree that a student can achieve. Browse the courses taught at this level:
