Model for Discussions

Below is a model for how to build a discussion. As you can see, it conforms to the understanding of paragraph construction linked to earlier.
This model suggests that, within every discussion, you create a number of paragraphs (each with their own 'claim' or 'statement of result'). The paragraphs work together to support a broader, often more complex, point or finding. Within academic writing, this is called the Key Point.
