Glenn Richardson
Glenn Richardson is Professor of Early-Modern History at St Mary’s University, Twickenham in London. He is the author of several books on Renaissance monarchs, on and on late-medieval and Renaissance international relations. His most recent book was Wolsey (2020) and he is currently working on a biography of Francis I of France, and a book on the battle of Pavia in 1525. He has taught many OUDCE courses on aspects of the Renaissance and the monarchies of England, France and related topics.

Cardinal Wolsey was the most extraordinary statesman of the English Renaissance. This summer school in Oxford shows why this was, and considers his legacy in the foundation in 1525 of what is now Christ Church.
